The tryout registration fee is $25.00.
Online registration closes 11:59 PM, December 6, 2023.
We will not be accepting drop-in registrations. All registration must be completed online.
** Your registration allows you to attend any and all tryout sessions **
With a limited number of evaluators it is difficult to watch every athlete in the gym all the time so an evaluator may ask you to return to another tryout session if we didn't have a good opportunity to observe your performance and would like to see more.
All athletes that tryout will receive a Tryout Results email. If you do not receive a Tryout Results email by 4:00 PM the following day and an evaluator did not ask you to return then we ask that you please return to the next available tryout session as we most likely have not yet made a decision or the opportunity to ask you to return.
Emails will be sent to the address provided in registration so please ensure it is correct.
If you were having a bad day and feel your performance wasn't your best... it happens so don't be discouraged. Speak with an evaluator after your tryout to let them know you would like to return to another tryout session and why. Just make sure when you do return to let an evaluator know you're back and why.
Only a Letter of Offer with the athletes name and signed by the head coach will constitute an official offer to play with Phoenix Volleyball Club.
If a Letter of Offer is received by an athlete in person, a copy will also be attached with their Tryout Results email and include instructions on accepting the offer.
To avoid any misunderstanding or miscommunication by an athlete, parent, evaluator, or coach, any claims of a verbal offer will not be honored by Phoenix Volleyball Club.
Offers presented to athletes on or before Sunday, December 10 will be honored until 6:00 PM, Tuesday, December 12.
After that time, any unaccepted offers will be presented to other athletes.
Any offers presented to athletes after 6:00 PM, Monday, December 11 will be honored for 24 hours.
After 24 hours, any unaccepted offers will be presented to other athletes.
Athletes that have accepted an offer are encouraged to attend remaining tryouts to give evaluators a chance to assess player compatibility and, in the case of 14U and above, more opportunity to ensure we get them in the proper position to achieve their greatest potential.
